I was practically born with a camera in my hands and my mom was a photographer so I obviously followed her around like a shadow and copied everything she did. She is who gave me my first dslr when I took photography in high school and loaned me the money when I was 20 and wanted to buy my first Nikon. I started my photography business after my son was born because I wanted to help other families get affordable memories they could keep forever. My favorite part about my job is that I love meeting new friends, getting to follow along in their life journey and be the one that captures all their special moments while helping celebrate their accomplishments with them.

To be honest...
Right?
okay so we're friends now.

Back in 2022 a photographer that I was following on Facebook posted about a wedding photographer internship she was starting and I have never applied for something faster in my entire life. I loved photography, but needed someone that knew the ins and outs of the wedding business to teach me everything there is to know. A persons wedding is one of the most important days of their life. I didn’t want to jump into photographing them and risk messing it up. Brit taught me everything from shooting in every type of lighting situation, how to be overly prepared for absolutely anything that could happen, and how to be the best I could be for my clients. Not only did I gain the knowledge I craved from her internship/mentorship, I also gained a life long friendship. (Well, two if you count Camilleon)

So why trust me to capture your wedding day?

We have three wonderful kids, ages ranging from teenager-toddler. Our oldest is my 13 year old bonus daughter, our middle child is my 5 year old first born, and our youngest is 4 but loves to tell everyone she is 5 like her brother. My younger two are only 15 months apart and considered Irish twins. While it was hard in the baby years, it turned out to be the best outcome I could’ve hoped for as their bond is indestructible.

As a family we love to play games, go outside, and play soccer. You can find me at our local indoor soccer field at least once a week taking photos of my husband playing on one of his many teams and during the fall season I’ll be on the sidelines at all my kids games with my camera out and zoom lens on. We take annual trips to Bend every winter to go play in the snow at Mt. Bachelor and try to make it out to the coast every summer for at least a couple days. I am also very involved in my kids schools and find every opportunity to volunteer with them.

I have been with my husband for 7 years, and married 5. Our love story started while I was working as an equipment rental coordinator for my family’s small rental shop business. He owns a landscape company and while I was working he would come in every single day to buy a new pack of disposable ear plugs and used every other excuse he could come up with to come see me. This lasted a month and from there the rest is history.

"Sara was so great to work with! She found a gorgeous location on the coast that matched the vibe I was going for, for our engagement shoot perfectly! She was so good with posing us and working with us, AND she got our photos back in a day!! Unreal. We love our photos so much and I highly recommend Sara if you’re thinking about booking with her!"
